"Clowning Around "
This pastel painting is of a beautiful pair of hyacinth macaws I had the honor and pleasure of meeting a couple of years ago. These magnificent birds are not only lovely to look at, but also do have "personality plus," as do so many other parrots, macaws and other birds. I truely felt as if they were having a great time with each other and with those around them - hence the title of the piece - "Clowning Around."

"St. Fergus and Friends?"
Another in my series of dog paintings, this is a humorous look at "Fergus" and his little farm friends. The look on this bird dog's face was one I just had to capture. He seems to be thinking that this is just too much to ask of any self-respecting hunting dog, but he guards the little chickens and ducks none the less. This painting was done with pastel on a colored background. This painting was featured in Wildlife Art Magazine in 2003.

"The Boys of Summer "
The model for this painting was my grandson, but could certainly be one of many little boys we each know, or remember from our past, that have that special canine friend with whom they spend all their time. The two guys in my painting are inseparable even to the point of sharing a sack lunch together on the dock.
