"Zebra Doves "
This acrylic painting is one I completed upon my return from a recent trip to the Hawaiian Island of Kauai. These wonderful birds were all over the place and I found them intriguing. My husband got some great photos of them and I just had to paint them. This is one of the results!

"Guardian of Avalanche Lake"
This diminutive painting is of a tiny - and extremely friendly - chipmunk that we watched for some time on our recent visit to Glacier National Park. He was one of many that were running around the shore of Avalanche Lake as hikers made their way there in mid June. He was just too cute not to capture in paint!

"Through the Reeds"
This acrylic painting is was inspired by a photo my husband snapped during our visit this summer to the west side of the state of Washington. I couldn't resist the beautiful setting, or the tranquil feeling these graceful creatures imparted as they glided "through the reeds" without a sound. I hope you enjoy the painting!

"untitled - bear "
This is a very recently finished painting of one of the most fascinating North American wildlife creatures, in my opinion. Bears are beautiful, fascinating and definitely deserving of our respect. I certainly love to paint all types of bears and this acrylic is another in a series of works I have completed of these marvelous animals.

"Amazing Grace "
My husband and I saw numerous Mountain Goats on a recent visit to Glacier National Park and were fascinated by their agility and grace on the sheer cliff walls. Even the babies maneuvered the rocky terrain like old pros. The goats at "Goat Lick" are the inspiration for this painting.
This painting was shown at the Women Artists of the West Show at Hilligoss Galleries (on Michigan Ave.) in Chicago, IL. - Nov. , 2007.
