"Swept Away "
They say that 'Spring is when a young man's love turns to fancy' and perhaps that is what has happened to this young cowboy and his girl. They are both obviously caught up in the moment and the "romance" of the situation, as he very literally "sweeps her off her feet."

"Still Life with Chickadee "
This is a bit of a departure for me in that it is a still life painting. However, I was very inspired to paint it after returning from a show and seeing some of the wonderful still life works there. I still wanted to be true to myself and incorporate my western and wildlife work into the piece, so I used a wonderful Indian rug, an antler and an unexpected chickadee in my composition. What a great painting to work on - intriguing, fun, and a new challenge for me! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
