". . . a brush with nature"

I often paint in a series. I often paint within a favorite theme. As anyone who has seen more than a few pieces of my work will know, I often have an animal or bird in the painting . . . sometimes with a person or frequently alone. No matter what it is I am painting, whether a single piece or a series, you may be assured that it is something I feel passionate about.

Of late I have felt drawn to Native American children and their connection to nature and the creatures that surround them. Wanting to explore the magic of the tiny hummingbird or the flight of a beautiful butterfly that passes quickly overhead has resulted in a series of pastels I am very proud of.

I felt great joy as I worked on each piece and I hope my own emotions will be conveyed through the work allowing the audience to build a connection and experience the magic of the moment for themselves.
