I have always enjoyed listening to an eclectic mix of music while I paint. This includes everything from country to jazz, show tunes to Celtic and pretty much everything in between. Of course, my music library includes many songs of The Beatles, with some special favorites being Eleanor Rigby, In My Life, Yesterday and Mother Nature’s Son.
The coming together of beautiful harmonies and emotional, heartfelt lyrics is often what keeps you coming back again and again to a particular piece of music that may one day become an important fiber in the fabric of your own life.
Did you know that the well-known and often referenced phrase, “…life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans…” is part of the lyrics of a John Lennon song? I don’t honestly know if he said it first or if it has been around much longer, but there it is in his song, “Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)”. This brings me to the point of my newsletter this month.
