I love the ravens that are constant visitors to our home and my studio and I have featured them in my work many times before. But despite all the other paintings I have always "pictured" a storyline where they would happen upon an ancient raven totem hidden deep in the forest of the Pacific Northwest. Finally, it came together this week with some suggestions from my wonderfully supportive husband. He provided photos of the ravens as well as some of a mossy log from our own woods for reference.
