My model for this painting was a tiny bird that perched on my lap as I sat just outside our back door. My husband was fortunate enough to get some great reference photos for me to work from. After a short while this tiny visitor flew off into the surrounding forest, but I have some treasured memories of a magical moment and now this new pastel painting, as well. I hope you enjoy it!
