I love painting wildlife and I am fascinated with wolves. I have had the honor to see quite a few of them through the years (even at my studio!) and have used them as the subject of my work many times. This particular wolf was seen in the Idaho panhandle. I decided to use the northern lights as a dramatic backdrop for this small works portrait piece. I hope you enjoy the finished painting as much as I enjoyed creating it.
