This is the most recent in my series of whimsical animal pieces.
There are many ravens in the forest around my studio and I find them fascinating. I love painting them, too, just as I do all the other critters we share our space with. I went a little more “Victorian” on the look and feel here with a “nod” to Edgar Allan Poe, as well. It was also fun and challenging to paint the pocket watch in this small format and place it in the grasp of the raven.
