Recently I chose to paint a series of foxes in winter. I did this because I love the beautiful color of a fox’s fur and the way that color “pops” against the background of a wintery scene. I also wanted to depict three distinct, yet familiar, positions we often think of as foxes travel through, or hunt in, a snowy environment.
This is the third and final piece in this series of small works. I hope you enjoy it alone or in combination with the previous two which can also be found here on my website.
Each painting is completed in the same horizontal format/size and framed with the same molding to a finished size of 11”h x 14”w. Each painting can stand alone nicely or the group would hang wonderfully together showing the progression of the wintery hunt.
